Driving Empowerment, Equality, and Inclusion Across the North East. DEN is a proudly Deaf-led charity, founded by deaf people for deaf people and those with hearing loss. Its mission is clear: to create a world where empowerment, equality, and inclusion are not aspirations but realities.

This report shares the findings from our recent engagement with care home residents, staff, and families, focused on understanding what makes a care home a good place to live. Through a series of visits, we gathered valuable insights into the everyday experiences of residents and identified examples of good practice that promote not just quality care, but also quality of life.

Since joining our practice in 2021, Carol has consistently gone above and beyond in her role as a Practice Nurse. Her dedication to learning, patient care, and team support has made her an invaluable member of our nursing team and a true asset to the practice.
