A Way Out is an outreach and prevention charity which aims to engage, empower and equip vulnerable and excluded women, families and young people to live lives free from harm, abuse and exploitation and to reduce life limiting choices and behaviour.

Survivors of sexual violence often face barriers to cervical screening. Survivors, Arch, Public Health, the ICB, Healthwatch Middlesbrough and community organisations came together to create a trauma-informed card that helps survivors communicate their needs, without having to disclose past trauma.

Going For Independence is a Community Interest Company which was established in 2008 to help people to find the right equipment and impartial advice to help them to stay independent.

Sharon's role is to introduce Probation to those that have been to Court and given a Community Order or Suspended Sentence, which they have to complete in the Community.

Katherine is the Regional Manager for the North-East Macular Society which supports anyone with Macular Disease.

Nicola works in the Patient Experience team based at James Cook University Hospital. The aim is to work with and learn from patients, carers and their family members experiences. This helps improve outcomes and make effective changes to services.

Both Katie's work for Triage who are an employability and training provider working with people to improve their mental health.

Kathy is an Allied Health Professional, Doctoral student, and a service user of Health and Social Care Services.
