At We Are With You Redcar and Cleveland, we are proud to shine a spotlight on the extraordinary team of volunteers who are the backbone of our support services for young people and adults facing challenges with drugs and alcohol.

One of our Community Champions, Kerri Brems is proud to nominate Alex for her outstanding dedication and impact as a volunteer at ARCH Teesside.

At the heart of our community lies a truly special place: the Woodside Dementia Hub. Recently, four heartfelt nominations highlighted the incredible work of the Hub’s staff and volunteers, painting a picture of a space filled with empathy, support, and genuine care.

Eston PCN’s Lisa Bowyer has been awarded a Spotlight Certificate in recognition of her outstanding contribution to improving healthcare access for people with learning disabilities. As a Learning Disability Primary Care Link Worker, Lisa has pioneered a compassionate and community-driven initiative that is making a real difference.

The next Spotlight Award is for a video created by STOMP (stopping the over medication of people with a learning disability, autism or both) and Skills for People to show how a medication review should be carried out.

A Way Out is an outreach and prevention charity which aims to engage, empower and equip vulnerable and excluded women, families and young people to live lives free from harm, abuse and exploitation and to reduce life limiting choices and behaviour.

Survivors of sexual violence often face barriers to cervical screening. Survivors, Arch, Public Health, the ICB, Healthwatch Middlesbrough and community organisations came together to create a trauma-informed card that helps survivors communicate their needs, without having to disclose past trauma.
