Rachel Hindhaugh - Meadowvale Homecare

At Meadowvale Homecare we work by the mantra ‘Your care, your choices’ and this is fundamentally important to all of our staff. We are not just here to work, we are here to care and to achieve this with the highest of standards. We have been delivering bespoke care to clients in and around Redcar and Cleveland and Middlesbrough for nearly 10 years. 

Why did you decide to become a Community Champion?

I have spent my whole working life since being 17, in care and I cannot imagine doing anything else. I got into this career due to always being the oldest granddaughter of 11 kids and loved helping my Nana look after all the children. I also have a brother with a lot of health needs and Autism, I always wanted to give back to the community after seeing how amazing nurses, doctors and carers have been with him and people close to me.

How does your role help people in South Tees?

I am the registered manager of a successful homecare company and we help people everyday to not only live independently but enjoy their lives to the fullest. As well as giving lots of amazing people careers in care :-)
