Healthwatch Middlesbrough is your local health and social care champion. We are independent and want to make sure that those running services, put people at the heart of care - especially those who find it hardest to be heard.
We focus on ensuring that people’s experiences and concerns about health and social care services are heard and we speak out on their behalf to inform service development and ensure they meet the needs of local people.
We strive to gather insights from our diverse community to inform decision-makers about experiences with health and care services. We recognise that factors such as culture, location, socioeconomic status, education, environment, and discrimination can negatively impact health outcomes. We support the strong consensus for change and are committed to amplifying the voices of underserved communities and reducing the barriers they face.
The Spotlight Award is an opportunity to acknowledge individuals, teams, or organisations across South Tees who have made a significant and positive impact within health, social care, or the wider community.
