A Way Out is an outreach and prevention charity which aims to engage, empower and equip vulnerable and excluded women, families and young people to live lives free from harm, abuse and exploitation and to reduce life limiting choices and behaviour.
How does your role help people in South Tees?
A Way Out has been working in the local community for over 22 years, supporting women, young people and families who experience multiple disadvantages, stigma and abuse. We believe passionately that all women deserve to be safe. Since we were first established, we have been working with women involved in street sex working to reduce the harm they face.
Our Changing Futures project covers Middlesbrough and Redcar Cleveland and supports both women and men who face multiple disadvantages to live lives free from harm, abuse and exploitation.
