Gaynor Tucker - Perimenopause Support UK

Working with women to help them with menopause and perimenopause issues.

Why did you decide to become a Community Champion?

I would like to share intelligence with regards accessing healthcare in the South Tees area, specifically around HRT and for people to learn about our services which can be vital in improving the lives of those experiencing symptoms of perimenopause.

How does your role help people in South Tees?

I created an online private Facebook support group back in 2021.  The group has grown hugely, and we now work with thousands of people impacted by symptoms of perimenopause, both nationally and locally.

We organise local meet ups in a non-judgemental café style, where we discuss all things perimenopause, often focussing on a specific subject, offering a listening ear and for people to know that they are not alone in how they may be feeling.

We are also keen to support family members, work colleagues, friends, and partners.
