Our current work programme is looking at why people of Middlesbrough have such a low up take of cancer screening. If you have any views on this please let us know. Have you been invited to screening? If you decided not to go why? What would have made you go along? Was the timing or venue inconvenient, could not be bothered, embarrassment?
People of Middlesbrough have told us that they want Middlesbrough to be more dementia friendly. We are currently looking at what aspects of being more dementia friendly the people of Middlesbrough hold as their priorities. Please tell us what would make things better for you. Would it be easier to use transport, a greater understanding of dementia by shop keepers, easier accessibility to leisure services? Please share your views and experiences with us. We need to know what is working well as well as what is not working so well.
One of our main priorities is finding out how and if young people want to engage with Healthwatch. We are currently engaging with schools, focus groups, colleges etc. to listen to your views. Are you a young person who has an interest in helping to shape future health or social care services? If so please get in touch with us.
You can contact us by phone, text, email, face to face-you choose all details are on our website.
