Why did you decide to become a Community Champion?  

Healthwatch provided me with invaluable information and support around good care when opening my business in 2015. This is my way of be able to give back to them and the community I live in.

How does your role help people in South Tees? 

We care for over 120 vulnerable adults in Redcar and Cleveland and employ 80+ local residents as carers, so you could say we are already a big part of this fantastic community. Our aim for the future is to work more closely with other organisations to better care for the people of Recar and Cleveland, and being part of Healthwatch will help us achieve this goal.
