We are trying to identify unpaid carers. Many people do not see themselves as carers they are often mums, husbands, daughters getting on with life. They see what they are doing as normal day to day activities. Do you help care a loved one, neighbour or friend? Do you regularly cook, help someone dress, collect prescriptions or take someone to appointments who may struggle to get there without your help? You may be one of the many of hidden carers we are trying to reach.
Do you receive any assistance to help you carry on your caring role? Please let us know about any services you use and if you do not use any why not?
Less than 3 in 10 people think that they will become a carer. In fact 1 in 8 adults in the UK today are carers that is 6.5 million. These carers save the state £119 billion a year.
Thank you for helping us gather information which may help shape future services to help unpaid carers in Middlesbrough.
Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) 2018
Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in Durham and Tees are working together to deliver an enhanced IAPT service that it is consistent and equitable across the region with a single point of access. This will mean changing the way that the service is delivered currently, and they are at the stage where they would like to gain views on the proposed model from past and current services users.
